1. Avoid heavy taste food

2. Avoid irritant food

Spicy and other stimulating food. 3. Avoid fat meat
It is easy to cause the hardening of blood vessels, the decrease of elasticity of blood vessels, and the increase of intraocular pressure in patients with glaucoma.
4. Avoid drinking a lot of water
After drinking a lot of water, a large amount of water is absorbed by the human body, but the aqueous humor in the eye increases with it. The normal people can regulate it by accelerating metabolism and excreting the extra aqueous humor. However, due to the dysfunction of filtering curtain, the aqueous humor is discharged abnormally, which makes the intraocular pressure rise.
Glaucoma patients should not drink more water, to pay attention to control the amount of water, generally not more than 500 ml of water each time. Because too much drinking water at one time will lead to blood dilution and decrease of plasma osmolality, which is the relative increase of aqueous humor and increase of intraocular pressure.
5. Avoid alcohol and tobacco
Glaucoma patients must quit smoking, because smoking will increase the importance of nerve damage. For patients with glaucoma who have the habit of drinking, if their face turns red (capillary dilation) after drinking, they can drink some red wine appropriately, which should be no more than 50 ml per day. Do not drink alcohol if you have a blue or white complexion (vasoconstriction).
