Acupoints for Pain Relief

Acupoint massage is one of the means to alleviate dysmenorrhea. It can be used for health massage in daily and menstrual periods. It is simple and effective.

1. Uterine Points

It is located in the lower abdomen, about 4 inches below the umbilical cord, and 3 inches apart from the central line. When massaging, press the uterine acupoints on both sides with the forefinger and middle finger of both hands, press slightly, gently knead, with a sense of acid swelling as the degree.

2. Qihai Cave

Qihai is located between Guanyuan acupoint and navel. Qihai acupoint can be widely used in andrological and gynecological diseases, such as spermatorrhea, impotence, irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, metrorrhagia, collapse and collapse.

3. Taichong Point

The position is between the big toe and the second toe. Roll the right Taichong point with the left thumb pulp and the left Taichong point with the right thumb pulp.

3. Sanyinjiao Point

Classic Prescription-Diet Relieves Dysmenorrhea

In Yuan Dynasty, Zhu Danxi's Danxi Heart Law advocated that women should mainly nourish Yin and blood, with excess Qi and insufficient blood. Therefore, menstruation regulation paid special attention to nourishing Yin and blood.

1. Siwu Tang

[Materials] 30 g of cooked ground, 25 g of Angelica sinensis, 20 g of Radix Paeoniae Rubra, 15 g of Chuanxiong, 1 000 g of chicken leg, 15 g of Lycium barbarum, 15 g of jujube, 10 g of cinnamon twig, a little of ginger, 150 cc of rice wine.

[Method] Chicken leg is washed and cut into appropriate size; pour enough water into the pot, boil and put chicken into the boil for about 5 minutes, then immediately remove it; rinse the scalded chicken with clean water to remove blood water and impurities; soak the cooked ground, angelica, Paeonia lactiflora, Ligusticum chuanxiong, cinnamon twig, jujube and wolfberry slightly in water, then filter out impurities; add chicken and all traditional Chinese medicines into the pot, and pour in water (water is essential). Cover all the ingredients; add rice wine and ginger (deodorize and flavor), boil over high heat, turn to low heat and continue to cook for about 1 hour.

[Fangyi] The most commonly used prescription for dysmenorrhea by physicians of past dynasties is Siwu decoction, which is a classical prescription for tonifying blood and promoting blood circulation. The prescription consists of Angelica sinensis, chuanxiong, peony and Shu di. It can be used to regulate before and after menstrual period. Adjustment of different constitutions needs to be made after doctor's dialectics.


2. Rose Four Drinks

[Materials] Angelica sinensis 32, Paeonia lactiflora 52, Shudi 22, Chuanqiong 12, jujube 22; Rose.

[Method] Use a large pot of water to soak medicinal materials for 30 minutes, roses are boiled before they are put in, so they need not be soaked at first; after soaking medicinal materials, first boil them in a big fire until they boil off, then turn to a small fire and cover them; after boiling in a small fire for 2-3 hours, turn to a big fire and boil them, stir them, then turn to a small fire and cover them; after five minutes, turn off the fire and then pour out the medicinal juice ten minutes later. When the juice is cooled, it can be put into a small bottle and stored in the refrigerator.

[Usage] Each time a small bowl is exported to be heated for drinking, it begins to drink after menstruation, twice a day, in the morning and evening, at noon and after meals. It can be drunk once a day for seven days, or once a day for fourteen days.

[Fangyi] Rose Siwu Decoction has the function of invigorating blood circulation and promoting blood circulation, which can supplement the Yin and blood consumed during menstruation. Roses have a slight effect of activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis, and contain vitamin C. Jujube contains a variety of nutrients, known as natural vitamins, can supplement temper.
